The Bright Day is a story about Shiv (Sarang Sathaye) who sets out on a journey to discover what he seeks in the outside world. He is searching for something but isn't exactly sure what he's seeking. Experiencing a new life is simultaneously frightening, exhilarating and intense as he ventures out on a journey that takes him through diverse landscapes of life which are vast and abundant. Along this journey he faces his own insecurity, enjoys adventure and freedom and learns about different philosophies. He has set aout on a journey into the unknown towards the light within his own life.

An incompatible couple Alok and Indu, who decide to end their three year relation upon noticing their growing problems, decide to revisit their issues and solve the conflicts. The Deshmukhs live in Pune with their only son Alok, who has been in relationship with Indu for the past four years. Assuming that his parents won't understand him like friends, Alok shied away from discussing his issues with them. However, he, one day, opens up to his parents about his relationship with Indu and its ups and downs, only to realize that his parents are the best friends that he made upon his birth.
