Men til tross for alle suksessene, kunne han sannsynligvis ikke forutsi hvilken innvirkning spillet Tony Hawks Pro Skater skulle få da det ble lansert av Activision i 1999. Til dags dato har det kommet 18 titler i serien som har brakt skating ut til massene på en ny måte.
