Ballad in Blue
Ray Charles stars as himself in this heartwarming story of a blind American musician (Charles) who befriends a young blind boy (Piers Bishop) in London struggling with his disability and with a vigilantly overprotective mother (Mary Peach). Can the music star teach the child – and his family – how to heal? Featuring such iconic Ray Charles tracks as "Let the Good Times Roll,” "What'd I Say," "Unchain My Heart," "Hit the Road Jack" and "I Gotta Woman," BALLAD IN BLUE is an uplifting classic drama that is not to be missed.
Ray Charles - Live At Montreux 1997
Founded by Paddy Maloney in 1962, The Chieftains were one of the first bands to popularise Irish traditional music around the world and today their status as one of the finest Irish bands of all time remains unchallenged. They have received awards from around the world including 6 Grammys and an Emmy and worked alongside some of the greatest names in pop, classical and folk music. This superb concert from Montreux features the classic line-up in a blend of song, music and dance that draws from the Irish tradition but encompasses influences as disparate as Galicia and the Rolling Stones.
