Lik flyter i gangene. Mens sjefsforsker Anna Fletcher ser etter overlevende og Garrison Harper leter etter informasjon fra vraket, går det opp for dem hva som har skjedd. Et gigantisk ålelignende uhyre, som fanger byttet sitt via elektriske impulser, herjer i Capitals indre. Uhyret flenger opp Lorica-teamets miniubåt, og fanger dem under vannet i et nådeløst dødsgrep. I tillegg er Capitals overlevende fiendtlig innstilt, fordi de mistenker Lorica Grey for å stå bak katastrofen. Golden Globe-nominerte David Keith (U-571, Daredevil) er beinhard i en sinnsykt uhyggelig undervannsthriller, som garantert ikke står i skyggen av U-571, når sekundene tikker og håpet langsomt svinner for forskeren Fletcher i det iskalde dypet. Deep Shock er rendyrket og effektiv action, åndeløs spenning og et undervannsuhyre så bestialsk at du ikke har nerver til å forestille deg det!
