Endelig er CHIHIRO OG HEKSENE tilbake på kino, og nå med norske stemmer. Dette fantastiske eventyret fra Hayao Miyazaki vant Oscar for beste animasjonsfilm i 2003. 10 år gamle Chihiro skal flytte til en ny by sammen med foreldrene sine. På veien til det nye huset tar faren en snarvei - noe som får dramatiske konsekvenser. De kommer fram til noe som ser ut som en nedlagt fornøyelsespark, men det er faktisk et badehus for slitne ånder. Badehuset er kontrollert av den onde heksa Yubaba. Som straff for at foreldrene til Chihiro har tatt seg til rette på åndenes område og spist av maten deres, gjør Yubaba dem om til griser. Chihiro får hjelp av den mystiske gutten Haku, og får seg jobb i badehuset. Her møter hun rekke merkelige skapninger - noen gode og noen onde. Sammen med sine nye hjelpere tar hun opp kampen med Yubaba og prøver å redde seg selv og foreldrene sine. Chihiro og heksene er en fantastisk tegnefilm, laget av Hayao Miyazaki. Miyazaki regnes som den fremste animatøren i dag, og med denne filmen topper han sin svært imponerende karriere. Chihiro og heksene har trollbundet publikum verden over, og vært en formidabel publikumssuksess både i hjemlandet Japan og i USA. Filmen vant som første animasjonsfilm Gullbjørnen i filmfestivalen i Berlin i 2002 og har mottatt overstrømmende kritikker.
