Bosnia juli 1995. Aida jobber som tolk for FN i Srebrenica. Serbiske militærstyrker er i ferd med å overta byen og Aidas familie er blant de mange tusen som søker tilflukt i det FN-kontrollerte området. Quo Vadis, Aida? er en intens skildring av motet, kjærligheten og viljestyrken til en kvinne fanget i en krig ført av menn. Quo Vadis, Aida? ble Oscar-nominert for beste internasjonale film, og er basert på uvirkelige, men sanne, hendelser. – Hvordan kunne det skje? Og hvordan kommer man seg videre? Alex is a 12-year-old schoolboy. His parents both have very buys jobs. Therefore, Alex spends a lot of time with his grandmother, Roos. One day Alex sees that his grandmother has been mugged. Fearing that his mother will take this as an opportunity to put Grandma in a home for the elderly, Alex has to promise Roos not to mention it to anyone. The culprits are two boys, Evert and Lucas. The boys blackmail Alex. If he goes to the police, an accident will happen to his grandmother. They even force him to rob purses from old ladies. Alex slowly becomes entangled in a web of blackmail and bullying. It becomes an untenable situation. What should he do to escape from it?
