Queen Elizabeth II was a woman bound by her duty to the United Kingdom. Meghan Markle was an American Actress who met Prince Harry through a mutual friend, and after a few dates with the prince, everything changed. Meghan and Harry's relationship led to an avalanche of tabloid interest, some of it tinged with racism. In the weeks before their wedding, they were the victims of harsh online attacks as well as optimism for the future.
