Louis Cha
Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre
Although director Chu Yuan’s collaboration with famed novelist Ku Lung is the stuff of legend, what is often missed was his titanic teaming with equally respected, equally inspired author Chin Yung – creator of this unforgettable saga. Set during the Yuan Dynasty, it tells the fascinating story of the “Sacred Fire” sect, the Wu Tang swordsmanship clan, the disciples of the Mei group, The Book of Chu Yang (which can make the reader immortal), and the destruction of Shaolin. And that’s just the start of the fascinating intrigues and ingratiating characters found here. Eminent martial arts instructor Tang Chia led a cast of screen idols, lovely starlets, and such veteran kung-fu artists as Lo Lieh on an incredible adventure that ranks as a favorite from Asia to America. And it’s just the beginning. Someone is wiping out all of Shaolin and the seven sects. Can they be stopped? Only the sequel knows for sure!
The Battle Wizard
A brother who loves books and a sister who loves swords must face a yellow-robed warrior, the Red Python: a sinuous snake-charmer, and a silk-masked beauty (who must kill or wed the first man to see her face) in this special, cliche-smashing production.
Legends of the Condor Heroes: The Gallants
The Brave Archer 2
"The Brave Archer 2" is a classic martial arts film sequel, blending thrilling action and intricate storytelling as it continues the saga of martial artists facing treacherous challenges in ancient China.
The Brave Archer 2
This magnificent martial arts saga takes up where the renowned original left off. Our hero Kuo Tsing is winning the hand of fair maiden Huang Yung. However, almost immediately, clan rivalries in the “Martial Art World” lead to Kuo being wounded by Ouyang Feng and Huang being named the new leader of the Beggar Clan. All this is mounted with sparkling energy by three kung-fu choreographers and a star-packed cast. International favorite Alexander Fu Sheng is back as Kuo. Niu Niu shines in her show-stopping role as his fiancée. In addition, the mystical martial arts mayhem serves as a showcase for “My Young Auntie” Hui Ying-hung, king of villains Johnny Wang Lung-wei, and “Venoms” Kuo Chue, Lo Meng, and Sun Chien as well as other famous action stars literally too numerous to mention!
Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre 2
The thrills continue in the second part of this cherished adventure. So sit back and enjoy the movie which spawned a legacy that continues even today - with an internationally loved television series, a role-playing game, and collectible replicas of the title blades!
Brave Archer and His Mate
Brave Archer and His Mate is the fourth in a series originally starring international favorite Alexander Fu Sheng as master martial artist Kuo Tsing. But Fu only appears here in a cameo as the son of a character played by Lung Tien-chiang. Kuo Chue is the new hero who is out to defeat the mass murderer of his martial arts masters.
The Sword Stained with Royal Blood
The “godfather of the kung-fu film”, Chang Cheh, has made many famous films. He was also famous for creating the “Venom” film series, starting with The Five Venoms and ending with House Of Traps. But one of the most treasured and beloved of his later films is this unusual “semi-Venom” film – in that it showcased only three of the standard five venoms. The spectacular action and intrigue starts when Kuo Chue, as the only son of an executed anti-Ching patriot, uncovers a sword, training manual, treasure map, and a secret message. The kung-fu which ensues is as impressive as it is glorious.
The Emperor and His Brother
Perennial Shaw Brothers hero Ti Lung versus perennial Shaw Brothers villain Lo Lieh. This combination is always enough to make one buckle up for a rousing ride of stylized fun. Based on a story about the famous anti-Ching Hung Hua Society, Chen Chia-Lo (Ti Lung) must endure music attacks, great acts of betrayal and loyalty, memorable twists and controlled confusion to capture the Ching Emperor, Chien Lung, who turns out to be his brother. Chang Chao-Chung (Lo Lieh) wants Chien Lung back.
Ode to Gallantry
Adapted from Jin Yong's famous novel, Shih Chung Yu (Phillip Kwok) acquires an edict by chance, prompting swordsman Shih Yen Ko (Wang Li) to teach him a fatal type of kung fu with the intention of killing him. However, Chung Yu does not die and is mistaken as the Chief of the Chang Lo clan, Shih Yen Ko. He then meets Ting Tang and falls in love with her. On the basis of righteousness, Chung Yu agrees to die in the place of Yen Ko. Eventually, Chung Yu's true identity is discovered and traced back to his abduction as a baby.
Tales of a Eunuch
Superstar Gordon Liu Chia-hui teams up with the kung-fu comedian Wong Yu in 'Tales Of A Eunuch'. Don't let the title fool you, it is a "balls to the wall" martial arts action.
The Proud Youth
Sun Chung started exploring the kung-fu genre with this fascinating tale which mixes music and martial arts. It’s a tale of conflicting clans and a mysterious song called 'The Proud One' which leads to slowly blossoming love as well as sudden death.
