This documentary examines the conditions for Jewish refugees after World War II, from their aspirations to emigrate to the reality of immigration restrictions & antisemitism. Many Holocaust survivors wished to relocate to the British Palestine but were often detained due to British immigration laws. Their strive to escape poverty, & detainment led to the creation of the modern State of Israel.
