Fire karer på utdrikkingslag havner på en forlatt tunnelbanestasjon dypt under New Yorks gater. Siste toget for natten har gått og de bestemmer seg for å gå gjennom tunnelen til nærmeste stasjon. Der blir de vitner til et brutalt mord. Og morderne setter ikke pris på vitner. Jaget av de galne morderne søker de tilflukt inne i den mørke labyrinten av tunneler. En verden de ikke visste fantes. The Dakota Territories. 1879. A handful of brave pioneers maintain isolated settlements in the badlands beyond civilization. Irish immigrant Fergus Coffey is near to winning the hand of his beloved Maryanne when she is suddenly taken from him, her family brutally abducted in a nighttime attack on their homestead. Suspicion falls immediately on hostile Indians. Experienced Indian fighters Will Parcher and John Clay form a posse and set out to rescue the kidnapped settlers, taking along a naïve teenager hoping to prove himself a man, an ex-slave looking for his place, and their ranch hand, Coffey. But as men vanish in the night, and horrific evidence accumulates with the dead and dying, the group discovers that their prey is far more terrifying than anything human, and their prospects are far more terrible than death.

In a decaying neighborhood, asthmatic and allergic amateur photographer Marvin Montrose spends his days and nights confined in his room, snooping on his neighbors in the next building with his camera. When a boy disappears in the spot and then the local drug dealer Desmond, Marvin suspects a mysterious garbage man and his sister Rosy and her friend Carmen investigate. Meanwhile, Marvin witnesses the death of Detective Gary Dumars and a stranger on the street by two mutant Judas Breed insects and discloses that their prime suspect is the CDC Agent Kirchner.
