Queen Elizabeth II: Before the Crown
George VI was said to have called Elizabeth his “pride” and Margaret his “joy.” Much of Princess Elizabeth’s lessons in life have been well taught by her father, who prepared Elizabeth to be queen as soon as he was coronated. It’s likely that this boost helped to inspire Elizabeth’s well-known loyalty and devotion to the United Kingdom. Diana: The Power Dressing Years
Diana, Princess of Wales, is one of the most iconic figures of the 20th century. She reached a new level of fame due to the ongoing media attention, one that no other royal before or after could ever have imagined. Diana stood at a model-like 5 feet 10 inches tall, both dazzling and subdued. When out in public, Dianna always extended a warm embrace to a complete stranger. She possessed attributes the royal family had not yet displayed, like being emotional, expressive, and, most importantly, accessible. Diana's status as Charles's bride would have earned her a place on the front page regardless. But her clothing kept her there, day after day. In the years after their divorce
Queens and Princesses
Behind every great man, there is a great woman. Kings may rule over their kingdoms. However, every King needs a Queen. Throughout history, there have been several Kings and several Queens. Many ruled alone, and many more lost their partner. History has taught us that an individual's mental fortitude is much greater when the responsibilities outweigh the pain of loss. The duty of a Queen is not just to serve the King and Kingdom, a Queen must be a strong leader, diplomat and negotiator, a Queen must be able to show compassion for those in need but also take decisive action against those who pose a threat to the integrity of the nation. There have been young ruling Queens and old ruling Queens. The British Monarchy has had 62 ruling monarchs over 1200 years, of those ruling monarchs, only eight have been reigning Queens.
Princess Anne: No Nonsense

Fergie & Di
Fergie and Di seemed promising additions to the royal household. Both characters, a unique fit, ready to be moulded into their new roles and the public eye. Diana with her youth and innocence was just 20 years old when she married, a shy young woman with a strong eagerness to please seemingly ready to one day become Queen and mother to an heir and spare. Sarah, in some ways, was the opposite, which was no bad thing. She had a strong head on her, a working career and a no-nonsense attitude. However, in 1992 the monarchy came burning down, in every sense of the phrase. It was a year that three royal marriages collapsed, a fire destroyed more than a hundred rooms in Windsor Castle, and Sarah’s extremely heated scandal spooked Britain and the monarchy. A huge shift in the monarchy was triggered by two young and seemingly harmless outsiders.
Kings and Princes
Throughout history, the role of a leader has been adopted by the strongest of the group. An individual who has shown strength, courage and an iron will. These leaders were either chosen by their group or formed their tribes by adopting members themselves. Civilisation was built on the foundations of strong leadership and hardworking individuals who put their trust in their leaders. Great Britain has had many leaders who have held the title of King. Britain has had 62 reigning monarchs over the last 1200 years. The modern royal family, however, can trace their lineage back to as far back as 1066 with William, the conqueror. This long bloodline has been the backbone of the British monarchy and the burning centre of the Commonwealth.
Heir & Spare: Charles & Anne
Heavy is the head that wears the crown, but heavier is the burden of being next in line. The British Royal family is built on the traditional duty until death. For every heir to the throne, there is a spare. Charles knew he’d become King, following in his mother's footsteps, leaving his sister Anne behind. Despite their close childhood bond, becoming the reigning Monarch would definitely divide the pair. When one steps up, the other must step back.

Duke of Sussex: A Changed Man
If the Palace thought that 2023 would be a quieter year after the drama and tragedy of 2022 then the release of Prince Harry’s autobiography Spare has just about destroyed all hope. The book has caused international frenzy amongst the media and the public. Opinion was more divided than ever on whether Prince Harry should retain his royal titles. Though Harry and Meghan fled the royal family for a second chance at the private life they always wanted, the world refused to let them go quietly. Despite their escape, the media’s continued attention cased a barrage of headlines, flaring up rumour after scandalous rumour about the couple and the royal family. In order to set the record straight, they decided to tell their own side of the story, giving a tell-all series of interviews, podcasts and Netflix documentary series. But eclipsing all of the revelations shared previously, in January 2023 Harry released his controversial and much-anticipated autobiography, Spare.
The Abdication of Edward VIII
Born in 1894 as the oldest son of George, Duke of York, Edward became heir to the throne when his father was crowned King George V in May 1910 and was formally invested as Prince of Wales the following summer. As feared by royal aides, Edward showed little interest in any sort of day-to-day governorship. He was mainly preoccupied with marrying Wallis Simpson, and from her husband, at least, there was no pushback, as the businessman agreed to let the King have his way. After ruling for less than one year, Edward VIII became the first British monarch to voluntarily abdicate the throne.
