Dans La Chaleur De Bercy
Johnny Hallyday puts on a truly spectacular rock show with "Dans la chaleur de Bercy", directed by Bernard Schmitt and recorded live in concert on September 15th, 1990, in front of 250,000 fans. France's favorite rocker pulls out all the stops with 120 tons of equipment, 150 people on stage, nine raised stage sections, and nearly 14,000 sheets of paper raining down on the audience every night - along with flares, machine-gun fire, motorcycle stunts, the choir singers of Chorale Camerounaise Pek-Nyambe, and a huge red balloon for the song Laura. To top it all off, Johnny appears in a black suit to perform Je te promets and L'envie backed by the Grand Orchestre Symphonique d'Europe under conductor Olivier Holt. This concert earned a Victoire de la Musique award for "Best Musical Performance".
