De Mornay plays a wrongly imprisoned woman who is determined to be free. After escaping, she makes the mistake of hitching a ride in the limousine of a politician (Frank Langella), who instead of turning her over to the authorities, convinces her to break back into the prison because if she can find a responsible person on the outside who will vouch for her, she may probably be paroled.
