Borgerkrigen er over og Traven-brødrene reiser hjem. Men Mac (Tom Selleck, Quigley Down Under) og Dal (Sam Elliott, Tombstone) oppdager at en gjeng sørstatsrebeller som nekter å overgi seg, har overtatt hjembyen deres.
