Den andre filmen i filmserien om de klossete politifolkene i Politiskolen. Mahoney og vennene hans fra filmen Politiskolen (1984) har fullført utdannelsen og er klare for å ta seg av ordentlige skurker. Noen av dem har fått sine første jobber og arbeider i et politidistrikt som trakasseres av en liga. Distriktets sjef viser seg å være bror til skolens rektor Eric Lassard, og trues med sparken dersom ikke distriktet blir kvitt dem. Samtidig har den nye politiinspektøren Lt. Mauser ingen problemer med det om de skulle mislykkes med oppdraget.
