Da hun debuterte i mesterskapssammenheng i VM i 2001, var det ingen som kunne ane hvor hun skulle ende opp. 17 år senere er hun den største og mestvinnende i VM og nå også i OL. Men veien til å bli tidenes vinterolympier var hard og kunne sluttet før hun hadde tatt sitt første OL-gull.
