Ejan'la
The story begins with Sharon, mother to Austin, Jacob, and Sandra, and wife to Williams. Sharon’s insatiable love for money drives her to abandon her family as soon as Williams faces financial ruin and bankruptcy. Tragedy strikes when Williams accidentally kills their daughter, Sandra, leading Austin and Jacob to be raised by Williams' brother. In their new home, they learn to earn a living through fishing. As adults, Austin and Jacob become successful men. Austin, now married to Laide, is deeply scarred by his parents' tumultuous relationship. Fearing that Laide loves him only for his money and will eventually leave him like his mother left his father, Austin begins an affair with Angel, a married woman unaware of Austin’s marital status. Angel, married to Jamal, turns to prostitution out of desperation to improve their dire financial situation. Despite Jacob’s warnings about the potential consequences of his infidelity, Austin justifies his actions by citing their traumatic childhood. The tension escalates when Laide and Austin plan a getaway to Epe. Angel and Jamal, devising a scheme to expose Austin's affair, set a trap. Laide discovers Austin's betrayal during the trip and decides to leave him. "EJAN'LA" is a gripping drama that explores themes of family, betrayal, and the destructive cycles of the past.
