Abigail (Jolina Magdangal) is a highly superstitious teenager who relies on the witty fortune teller Madam Lola (Gina Pareño) to find her soul mate. Meanwhile, the hopeless romantic Nelson (Marvin Agustin) continues to woo Abigail incessantly. In his desperation to make Abigail love him, Nelson connives with Madam Lola to make her predictions of Abigail's destined lover to fit his image and personality. What happens, however, is that at the same time Nelson slowly fulfills the role of Abigail's dream lover, Abigail's classmate Jim (Dominic Ochoa) happens to be acting the part as well. Can Jim be Abigail's destiny after all and not Nelson?

Tenaciously straight-laced Miguel (Rico Yan) and campus bad girl Mela (Claudine Barretto) shock the people around them when they decide to go out but they are too smitten with each other to notice any objection set against their union. The two eventually realize that it takes more than physical attraction to maintain a relationship, for their differences in personality turn their initial sweetness into petty arguments and misunderstandings. Their respective bitter exes deal the final blow that sever any chance of reconciliation between the two, as the scheme leaves Miguel feeling cheated and Mela distrusted. Both, however, still feel that the only person who can fill the chasm created by their separation is each other--but how can they have a lasting relationship without trust?
