Set in early 30’s Peter Bell is a 10-year old boy who lives with his parents and his elder sister Martha. His direct neighbors, the slimy Geelman and his extremely dull son Josef, own a drugstore. There is never a dull moment in Peter’s life, to the extent that his remarkable adventures even appear in the newspaper headlines. But what is of deepest concern to Peter is that these stories are out and out lies, a fact he must put right, together with his own little army, ‘The Black Hand Club’.
