Lia Marquez (Bea Alonzo) is a simple lass who is set to marry Cebu's most eligible bachelor Philip Cordero (Paulo Avelino) who is currently running to clinch the mayoral position after his father's term ends. Lia struggles to find her place in the Cordero's competitive world of politics, while all Philip can hope for is to fight fair. However, things get complicated when Lia's ex-boyfriend, Wado dela Costa (Derek Ramsay), returns to work for them in a project that will help Philip win the elections.. As the wedding day nears, Lia crosses paths with her father who have abandoned her as a child. The bitterness and disgust she feels toward him resurfaces, but Philip tries to make her understand the situation she is in. Soon, a series of painful revelations come to light, hurting both Lia and Philip. Lia becomes unsure if she is truly ready to marry, torn between reconciling with her past and choosing the man she is building a future with.
