Fredag etter Thanksgiving i leketøysbutikken We Love Toys. Den moderat entusiastiske staben forbereder seg til årets store kjøpsfest. Med ulike strategier stålsetter du deg for å motta alle de varme kundene. I bakgrunnen snakker radionyhetene om merkelige konsekvenser av et meteorittnedslag i nærheten. Men det er ikke tid til å tenke på det før dørene åpnes. Kanskje de burde gjort det. Snart er folk som slåss på jakt etter det siste eksemplaret av årets leketøy butikkgjengens minst bekymring. En merkelig smitte sprer seg blant kundene, og gjør dem til brølende monstre. Ingen vil glemme årets salg med det første. Hvis noen av dem overlever, altså.
