The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
Academy Award-winning drama stars screen-legend Humphrey Bogart ("Casablanca," "The African Queen"), Walter Huston ("Yankee Doodle Dandy"), and Tim Holt ("The Magnificent Ambersons") as three ill-fated prospectors who set out across the Mexican desert in search of gold but instead find mistrust, betrayal, and death. The legendary John Huston ("The African Queen," "The Maltese Falcon") won an Oscar for his superb direction and screenplay. His father, Walter, received an Oscar for Supporting Actor. Considered by many as Bogart's greatest role, this is a true American classic and was recently selected as one of the fifty best American films of all time by the prestigious American Film Institute. Look for an appearance by young Emmy-winner Robert Blake (TV's "Baretta," "Money Train"). Inducted into the Library of Congress National Film Registry.

Moviegoers were introduced to Elvis Presley in this film set during the dying hours of the Civil War. Elvis sings four songs, including the title song. Set in 1865, the three Confederate Reno brothers don't know the war has ended. They manage to steal a Union Army payroll, and head for home with the money. While Vance (Richard Egan) can think only of the love of his life Cathy (Debra Paget), it turns out that the brothers have been reported dead, and Cathy has married their youngest brother Clint (Elvis Presley). Vance accepts this until he learns that Cathy still loves him. To complicate things, the U.S. Army knows of the brothers' theft and is hunting them down.

Det er nok av høykvalitets eksplosiv action i denne Bogie-klassikeren fra 1943 om en sjuskete bataljon strandet i den afrikanske ørken under andre verdenskrig. Etter fallet av den libyske byen Tobruk trekker sersjant Joe Gunn (Humphrey Bogart) og mannskapet hans – Waco Hoyt (Bruce Bennett), Fred Clarkson (Lloyd Bridges) og Jimmy Doyle (Dan Duryea) seg tilbake i tanksen deres på tvers av Sahara. På turen plukker de opp seks allierte etternølere og Tambul (Rex Ingram), en sudansk korporal og hans italienske fange. Tambul leder gruppen til en ørkenfestning, hvor de håper å finne dyrebart vann. En avdeling med tyske soldater ankommer og prøver å bytte mat mot vann, men Gunn og følgerne nekter. Mens tyskerne angriper, leder Gunn de ørkentrette mennene inn i en desperat kamp, med håp om at de britiske forsterkningene ankommer tidsnok.
