The Ghazi Attack
Ghazi tells the story – which many believe to be the truth but remains classified till this day because this battle was fought and won underwater, before India officially declared war on Pakistan the very next day - on 4th December 1971. This underwater saga unfolds as an epic tale of the unsung heroes aboard the Indian Submarine S-21 who put themselves in the line of fire to defend their nation. It epitomizes the immense courage and undying patriotism of these men in the hard fought battle against the Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi when it ventured into Indian waters with the ambition of destroying INS Vikrant and conquering the Visakhapatnam port. Despite tremendous odds, these heroes of the Indian Navy destroyed the formidable and technologically advanced Pakistani submarine, PNS Ghazi. Ghazi, the first full-length submarine film made in India exemplifies the values of the Indian Armed Forces and particularly, the Indian Navy.
