When the townspeople of a village start dying of blood loss, vampires are suspected. The local Inspector (Melvyn Douglas) and his girlfriend Ruth (Fay Wray) remain skeptical as scientist Dr. von Niemann (Lionel Atwill) cares for the vampire's victims.
