The Hero of Entebbe is Yonatan ”Yoni” Netanyahu, the older brother of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who masterminded the 1976 raid on Entebbe Airport which freed the dozens of Israeli hostages held captive in Uganda. Using Yoni's own poetry, letters and prose, the film delves into the mind of this reluctant young hero and reveals his duty to family and to the Israel he loved.
