Director Carl Reiner has a comic go at the recent spree of erotic crime thrillers... Cop Armand Assante is assigned to investigate a "kinky" murder. He is also, improbably, the prosecuting attorney. The resident femme fatale in the case is Sean Young. Meanwhile, Assante's wife (Kate Nelligan) is plotting her husband's demise in a Body Heat mode. Tony Randall appears as an (amusing) judge.
